Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of the Arcane Life app ("the app"), made by Villads Valur ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The app

Arcane Life is a free iPhone life counter for Magic: The Gathering and other tabletop card games. You can use it as a guest or create an account to save games, add friends and play shared games.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account.

Acceptable use

When using the app, you agree not to:

• Pick a username, name or profile photo that is offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonates someone else or breaks the law.
• Harass, abuse or spam other users.
• Try to access other users' accounts or data, or interfere with the app or its servers.
• Reverse engineer, copy or resell the app, except where the law allows it.

We may remove content or suspend or delete accounts that break these rules. To report a user or content, email info@arcane-life.app.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you add to the app, like your profile photo. You give us permission to store and show it to other users as needed to run the app. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for shared game records described in the Privacy Policy.

Privacy

How we handle your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the app running well, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of bugs. We may change, pause or stop parts of the app. If we stop the app completely, we will try to give notice in advance.

Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is". It is a tool to help you keep score. You are responsible for checking life totals and results in your games. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data or disputes between players. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and where it conflicts with these terms, these terms apply to the extent allowed.

Trademarks

Arcane Life is unofficial Fan Content. It is not approved, endorsed, sponsored by or affiliated with Wizards of the Coast. Magic: The Gathering and its format names are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast LLC, and other game names and trademarks belong to their owners.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for bigger changes we will let you know in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes go to the Danish courts, but if you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of your local law and can bring a claim there.
